Sachith steers Kandy YCC

Sri Lanka youth captain Sachith Pathirana produced a fine all round performance to steer Kandy YCC to a good first innings victory over Bloomfield in their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Bloomfield: 217 and 88 for 2 (S. Wijetunga 43, A Priyanjana 24 n.o).

Kandy YCC: 295 (C. Isanka 76, S. Pathirana 53, S. Jayatissa 66, C. Silva 30, P. Chandrika 3 for 19, R. Wimaladarma 3 for 51)


Outright win for NCC

NCC produced a fine all round performance to beat CCC outright by an innings and 20 runs in their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

CCC: 136 and 88 (S. Moahmed 3 for 23, T. Kottahewa 2 for 12, R. Weerasinghe 2 for 26).

NCC: 244 for 9 decl (D. Bandara 73, I Udana 41, S. Boralessa 3 for 43, S. Bowala 2 for 84)


Moors by 7 runs

Tamil Union produced a fine batting performance before they fell short by just seven runs from defeating Moors SC on the first innings in a high scoring SLC under 23 division are cricket tournament match which ended in a no decision at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium yesterday.
