Amrith, Jithmie win national titles

TENNIS: Amrith Rupasinghe and Jithmie Jayawickrema clinched the men’s and women’s singles title respectively at the 92nd annual National Tennis Championships concluded at the NIC courts in Green Path yesterday.

Rupasinghe defeated Rajiv Rajapaksa 7-5, 7-6, 6-0 in the Men’s Singles final while the defending champion Jayawickrema overcame Amritha Muttiah 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the Women’s Singles final.
