Second day of Kumbal Perahera
KANDY: The Kumbal Perahera of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, Kandy enters
the second day today. The Perahera will be conducted along the streets
of Kandy town till August 29, with the Randoli Perahera commencing on
August 24.
The Perahera will conclude with the water cutting ceremony and the
Day Perahera on August 29, Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa,
Kandy, Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara said.
The Perahera will start from the Dalada Maligawa at 7.40 tonight and
proceed along Dalada Veediya, D. S. Senanayake Veediya, Raja Veediya and
return to the Dalada Maligawa along Maligawa Chaturasraya.
