Asha Central for sale?

Asha Central Hospital, one of the oldest nursing homes in the country is now in the process of setting up a new hospital at Norris Canal Road by selling its existing property at Horton Place at an investment of Rs three billion, its sources said.

According to market speculation the Asha Central Hospital Management is planning to sell their current Horton Place property to put up this modern hospital at Norris Canal road.

However, Asha Central Hospital sources denied this. They said they have raised a bank loan to put up this new hospital and have no idea of selling the existing Horton Place property.

Further, the share value of the hospital in the Stock Market which was earlier Rs. 47 on Friday shot up to Rs. 79 an increase of Rs. 32 contributing heavily to the day’s equity turnover, which was 63 per cent.

The number of Asha shares traded on Friday was 1,462,100, Stock Market, sources said.
