Fort bomb suspect produced in court

COLOMBO: The Pettah Police on Friday produced a suspect allegedly involved in the Reclamation Road bomb incident before Colombo Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Sarojini Kusala Weerawardena.

Dushit Johnthasan, counsel for the suspect S. Ravindran, moving for bail told court that his client had no involvement in the bomb blast. He was only a television repairer in the Pettah Police area and Police arrested him on suspicion. The Judge granting surety bail in a Rs. 25,000 directed him to appear in court again on July 22.
