Dr. Munindradasa’s remains flown to Lanka

COLOMBO: The remains of Dr. D.A.I. Munindradasa, the top explosives and ballistics expert who died in Israel while on an official mission was brought to Sri Lanka yesterday.

His body is to be handed over to the family following an autopsy by the Colombo Judicial Medical Officer to ascertain the cause of his sudden death.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry said that Dr. Munindradasa had reportedly been ailing at the time of his departure to Israel.

The 41-year-old lecturer at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering of the Moratuwa University is reported to have died of a bout of pneumonia in a hospital in Tel Aviv while he was there as a member of Sri Lankan delegation.
