No abolition of primaries in National Schools

COLOMBO: The Ministry of Education has not taken any decision to remove the primary section from the National Schools, the Education Ministry said.

The Ministry has not taken any decision which would harm national and religious percentage when students are recruited to schools.

No decision which would ruin the free education system of the country will be taken, the Ministry said.

Minister Susil Premajayantha requested the public not to believe in rumours spread by opportunistic groups.
