President thanks IIGEP

COLOMBO: President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed his thanks to the members of the International Independent Group of Eminent Persons (IIGEP) for the first Interim Report of the Group received at the Presidential Secretariat on June 4, which has since been issued as a public report.

The President has directed that a careful study be made of the observations, concerns and recommendations suggested in the Interim Report.

A response will follow such study.
