COLOMBO: President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday urged Korean investors
to make a bigger commitment to Lanka, pledging the Government's fullest
cooperation for their endeavours.
The President made this assurance when he met a team of high-profile
Korean investors.
President Rajapaksa also appealed to Korean investors to give more
job opportunities to Sri Lankans in their own companies in Korea.
The investors have also pointed out that they could give job
opportunities to skilled Lankan workers returning from Korea when they
start their factories in Sri Lanka.
The Korean Board of Commerce and Industries President Jung Taeleshin
said that the team of business delegates who arrived in Sri Lanka with
him would spend some more days in Sri Lanka to study investment
opportunities.
The Korean business delegates have arrived Sri Lanka on the
invitation of Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake. |
