Major Mutaliff’s second death anniversary
COLOMBO: The second death anniversary of Major Nizam Mutaliff
who was killed by the LTTE on May 31, 2006 falls tomorrow.
Mutaliff, a brilliant intelligence officer of the Sri Lanka Army was
on his way to Kotelawela Defence Academy to follow a computer programme
when he was shot at Polhengoda traffic lights.
Having joined the Sri Lanka Army in 1986 he served the country for 19
years with maximum dedication and finally sacrificed his life creating a
huge gap in the Intelligence Corps and great loss to his family with two
kids.
An alms giving followed by a Dhamma Deshana will be held on May 31 at
his residence to invoke merit to the hero. |
