Malinga pulls out

CRICKET: Sri Lanka's speed star Lasith Malinga has pulled out from the second Afro Asian limited overs series which will be worked off from June 5 to 10 in Bangalore and Chennai.

Malinga has being asked to rest following an ankle injury which he sustained during the recently concluded Abu Dhabi one day international series which Sri Lanka lost 2-1.

Malinga is the second bowler to pull out from the competition after paceman Chaminda Vaas had earlier announced his exit following a minor injury which he sustained while representing the English County side Middlesex.
