Think Tank OR Tank?

Many question as to what has happened to the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations. There is no free access to the place now and the people have to face the wrath of gun totting not so courteous security staff with so many policemen and STF commandos having taken over the place.

A henchman security man barked at some people last week questioning: "Don't you understand that so and so meets people here, entertain people here and some times even stays here?"

He even questioned: "Do you think it's easy to go to Temple Trees?" The person who faced all these, responded by saying: "It is easy to go to Temple Trees now than walking to the Kadirgamar Institute". And as far as he was concerned the place was a Think Tank and not for so and so to dine and wine.

A respected former Ambassador also said the place has become a Tank today than a Think Tank.

Lakshman Kadirgamar was brutally assassinated by the LTTE and the best Foreign Minister we ever had in Sri Lanka. He died for us and let us respect his name and honour the place named after him. We know you loved him and looked upto him. So it's over to you Mr President.
