Man entering Court with defective ID nabbed

COLOMBO: Supreme Court security officers yesterday apprehended a person who was trying to enter the court premises with a National Identity Card which had no Government seal or emblem, court officials said.

The middle aged resident from Maradana has told the security officers he wanted to enter the premises to obtain some case records.

According to the officers, the emblem of his ID had been removed. The person had claimed it was not purposely done.

He was handed over to the Keselwatte Police.
