Lanka-US cooperation helping combat terror - US State Dept
Sri Lankan cooperation with the FBI has resulted
in arrests of persons charged with material support to terrorist
groups and the Lankan Government also cooperates with US efforts to
track terrorist financing, the US State Department stated in its
annual compilation of Country Reports on Terrorism.

LTTE turns Hindu Temple to an armoury
The Media Centre for National Security (MCNS)
says Police have uncovered a haul of arms and ammunition hidden
inside the Amman Kovil at Velanithurai in the Kayts Island. The
items were found during a combined search operation carried out by
Navy and Police personnel on Wednesday morning.
