No right to premises at Independence Square

The Supreme Court yesterday determined that the rights of the petitioners had been violated by executive action in the purported grant of benefits and advantages to former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga contrary to the provisions of Presidents’ Entitlements Act No. 4 of 1986.

SLFP to handover party proposals to APRC today

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will officially handover its set of proposals to the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) today whereby it intends to seek a solution to the country’s decade old ethnic problem and create a sustainable development and good governance within the country’s administrative structure.
