Lanka-US cooperation helping combat terror - US State Dept
Sri Lankan cooperation with the FBI has resulted
in arrests of persons charged with material support to terrorist
groups and the Lankan Government also cooperates with US efforts to
track terrorist financing, the US State Department stated in its
annual compilation of Country Reports on Terrorism.

Court rules former President’s benefits illegal
No right to premises at Independence Square
The Supreme Court yesterday determined that the
rights of the petitioners had been violated by executive action in
the purported grant of benefits and advantages to former President
Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga contrary to the provisions of
Presidents’ Entitlements Act No. 4 of 1986.

SLFP to handover party proposals to APRC today
