Mammoth electricity supply scheme in Hambantota district

HAMBANTOTA: The 'Electricity for Sri Lanka Hambantota District Project' will be launched in Hambantota district by the Ministry of Power and Energy. The motive behind the project is to provide electricity to households that have not received electricity. This project will be implemented for three years.

Sources told the Daily News that the feasibility study has already been completed.

The government has allocated Rs. 4,000 million for the project. It will be implemented in 12 DS areas in Hambantota district.
