CONGRATULATIONS: President Mahinda Rajapaksa salutes Mahela Jayawardena and the Sri Lanka cricket team which emerged Runners up at the 2007 Cricket World Cup which concluded in Barbados last Saturday.

President Rajapaksa asserts that the Sri Lankan team emerging as the Runners-up, has displayed the highest standards of sportsmanship in the highest levels of the game, and brought dignity and goodwill to the country. We know that the Sri Lankans and the world’s cricketing fraternity are proud of you.
