Diplomas for nurses, paramedics

COLOMBO: Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva recently handed over diploma certificates to 1,000 nurses and paramedics who underwent training at different Nurses Training Schools.

This is the first time that nurses and paramedics received a valid certificate for their training. They have been demanding this type of certificate from different governments for a long time without any success.

During the ceremony, Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has assured that he will take steps to provide required human resources to the hospitals in difficult areas by recruiting nurses and paramedics from those relevant areas.
