Miss World beauties in paradise isle

PROMOTION: On an invitation by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board three Miss World contestants from Germany, Italy and France will be visiting Sri Lanka today to boost the image of the country.

All Miss World titleholders will be flown by SriLankan Airlines. They will be in the country till February 28.

The three personalities to visit the country are Miss France 2007, Rachel Legrain-Trapani, Miss Germany, Isabelle Knispel and Miss Italy, Elizaveta Migatcheva. In addition over 25 journalists too will be visiting Sri Lanka.

The objective of the SLTB to get involved in this event is to promote the image of the country.

"The main aim of this entire event will be to provide reassurance for the potential visitors in respective countries (UK, Germany, France, Italy and India) and to ensure and feel that they are safe.

Sri Lanka will be portrayed as a safe destination for tourists and celebrities alike. We hope to receive publicity from the international press by inviting the Miss World contestants from France, Germany, Italy, the UK etc and build up interest from relevant journalists to cover this event," Management Assistant, Sri Lanka Tourist Board, Sisira Abeyratne said.
