JVP created chaos leaving government ranks

COLOMBO: CMC Opposition Leader Vasudeva Nanayakkara strongly criticised the reasons explained for the proposal of Councillor Hemantha Kumara Weerakoon to the CMC asking government to make necessary measures to reduce high cost of living.

Vasudeva pointed out that the facts raised by JVP Councillor was baseless and not fair. The President’s decision to increase the members of the Cabinet was occurred purely on stabilising the Government.

It was not the main reason for the present increase in inflation.

Vasudeva explained the high level of cost of living in the country is due to big expenses on the unwanted war.

Prevailing situation is created by the JVP by leaving government ranks forcing the President to offer portfolios to crossovers, Vasu said.
