Colombo Magistrate’s Court Lawyers extend support to President

COLOMBO: The Lawyers Association of the Colombo Magistrate court who met President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday at the Temple Trees handed over a copy of a resolution unanimously adopted by the Membership to support the President at a special meeting of the Executive Body and the Members of the Association.

The copy of the adopted resolution was handed over to the President was signed by Association President Ranjith Shantha and Secretary R.A.P.Ranawaka.

The resolution unanimously adopted resolved to support the steps taken by President Mahinda Rajapaksa in combatting and wiping out terrorism from the country.

While Attorney-At-Law Palitha Gamage moved the resolution,it was seconded by Attorney at Law Chandrasiri Wijesinghe.

The resolution underlined the importance of extending their support to the President at this crucial juncture irrespective of socio-political differences one has, to eradicate terrorism from the country.
