LTTE Website used voice of dissidents

COLOMBO: The LTTE media machinery on Friday took the opportunity to accuse the Government of human rights violations quoting the allegations made by former Ministers Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathi Sooriyaarachchi at the press conference held on Thursday.

The pro-LTTE TamilNet on Friday pasted a webnews with the heading 'SLFP dissidents urge Colombo to prevent rights abuse' quoting the allegations made by former Ministers at the press conference held at the Parliament complex on Thursday to blame the Mahinda Rajapaksa administration for human rights violations.

It had effectively used the two former Ministers as they too spoke in the same line the LTTE media machinery adopted over the past few months to tarnish the image of the Mahinda Rajapaksa administration and thereby exert international pressures on the Government to stop current military actions to curb terror acts of the LTTE.
