Value added touch for minerals

THE Ministry of Environment has decided to depart from the lengthy practice of exporting the country's mineral resources as raw material and instead go for the value added product.

President's gratitude conveyed to soldiers:

Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited military camps in the Eastern Province on Saturday. The main aim of the visit was to convey President Mahinda Rajapaksa's gratitude to the soldiers who excelled in the battles in Mavil Aru, Sampur and Vakarai.
