Nayaka Thera's ashes to be brought to Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya

COLOMBO: The ashes of the Most Venerable Dr. Madagama Vajiragnana Nayaka Thera, Head of the London Buddhist Vihara and Chief Sangha Nayaka, Great Britain will be brought to the Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. where religious services will be performed.

The ashes will later be taken to his native temple Talatuoya, Hippola Purana Viharaya.

Deputy Speaker Geethanjana Guanwardena, Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge and Dehiwela-Mount Lavinia Mayor Sunethra Ranasinghe will participate.

The Bellanwila Dayaka Sabha and of other affiliated institutions will also participate.

The Nayaka Thera passed away in London in December 2006. His remains were cremated in London.
