PM chief guest on fourth day of Deyata Kirula expo
COLOMBO:The educational and development progress exhibition “Deyata
Kirula-Rata Dinana Heta Dinata” opened its fourth day at the
Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall premises, yesterday
under the patronage of Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka.
The Premier who was the Chief Guest of the day took time to observe
the stalls conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministries of
Internal Affairs, Plan Implementation, Justice, and the Department of
Immigration and Emigration.
Addressing the occasion the Prime Minister thanked all the
institutions who presented stalls and commented that exhibitions of this
nature help the people as well as schoolchildren understand the services
rendered by various institutions and that President Mahinda Rajapaksa
expects to organise similar exhibitions in various parts of the country
without confining them to Colombo.
Ministers Chamal Rajapaksa and Ranjith Siyambalapitiya along with
officials of a number of Government institutions accompanied on the
observation tour.
