Police hunt for suspect

CRICKET: The Colombo Fraud Bureau is in the process of tracing the culprit who had allegedly misused documents of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to purchase three vehicles to the value of nearly three million rupees.

The Director Fraud Bureau Senior SSP Pinnadiya said that they had arrested one person over this, following a statement made by the Chief Executive Officer SLC Duleep Mendis.

The mastermind behind this massive car fraud is said to be an outsider who visits the SLC occasionally for matters regarding ticketing for the teams overseas tours.

The CEO of SLC Duleep Mendis confirmed yesterday that none of the Board officials or employees were involved in this racket.
