NEGOMBO: Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Leader MP Rauff Hakeem said
that the decision of SLMC to support the Government will be depend on
the conditions which have already been submitted and the response of the
Government to them.
He was speaking at the Public Rally held at Rahumanabad Ground,
Periyammula, Negombo, on Sunday (21).
The meeting was organised to mark the handing over of sewing machines
to the helpless low incomers by Western Provincial Councillor M.Shafi
Raheem.
Hakeem said that members of the SLMC were not keen about any
portfolios, but only positive responses for the grievances of Muslims.
"If the Government is to follow the same tactics as in the case of
the SLMC we protest strongly," said Hakeem.
The doors are open for discussions and we look forward to resolve the
problems of Muslims through a good understanding with the President.
Western Provincial Councillor and SLMC Colombo Organiser Safeek
Rajabdeen expressed his faith in the SLMC Leadership.
Rajabdeen also said that he will not join the Government with or
without his leader. |
