Microsoft 2007 offerings tipped to be best
LAUNCH: Microsoft will mark the latest delivery on their promise of
"People Ready Software" next month with the simultaneous launching of
three fabulous and much looked forward to products Windows Vista, 2007
Microsoft Office and Windows Exchange server 2007.
The launch, potentially the largest and most strategic in Microsoft
history, will be meaningful to virtually all 500 million personal
computer users across the world. This milestone marks the first time in
the software giant's history that it will refresh its desktop operating
system, server and exchange within the same year.
The new versions of Windows, Office and Exchange Server 2007 ware
guided by real life usage and scenarios during their development phase -
working in partnership with their customers, Microsoft used feedback
from million of volunteers involved in 1 billion user sessions to fine
tune the product offerings.
The test phase of the new products also saw unprecedented
collaboration with customers - 5 million customers around the world
downloaded beta versions of the products and sent in their feedback and
suggestions to Microsoft.
Early adopters of the new products have seen instant results and
expect dramatic gains in productivity through capabilities that address
core business issues in new ways.
A Capgemini study commissioned by Microsoft said "Companies" we've
talked to are looking at driving major revenue increases, improved
responsiveness to customers, and improved sales team win rates with the
2007 Microsoft Office system.
The early adopters have realised cost savings through process
workflow automation, easier access to information, improved
collaboration with colleagues, and lower costs of compliance. It's all
about creating better customer connections and empowering you people at
less cost and with greater effectiveness."
The capabilities of the new products were designed to reflect
Microsoft's belief that people are the driving force behind business
success.
Essentially, the products focus on simplifying how people work
together, finding information and improving business insights, helping
protect and manage content and increasing security and helping to reduce
IT costs.
Deploying the products together will fundamentally change the way
companies get value from business information, enabling companies to
gain critical advantages in how their people build profitable
relationships with customers, spearhead new innovations and drive
business success.
Sri Lanka will usher in Windows Vista, 2007 Microsoft Office and
Windows Exchange Sever 2007 on the 15th of February, with a simultaneous
launch of all three flagship products scheduled to be held at SLECC,
Microsoft Sri Lanka says businesses and the public can immediately begin
reaping the benefits of the new product line-up, which can be deployed
separately or together.
Microsoft professionals in Sri Lanka have completed training on the
new products and these product experts are fully geared to provide
support to users.
The company expressed confidence that the new products launched mark
a new wave of innovation which will have a profound impact on how people
work over the next decade, creating a transformation similar to the one
triggered by Windows and Office 95. |
