Thai Pongal is a Thanks Giving Festival to the Sun God who makes the Universe prosper. Hindu Kovils throughout the country were filled with devotees yesterday. Although the Thai Pongal is celebrated by the Hindus, the prayers offered on the Pongal day are not confined to Hindus but to all living beings in the Universe.
