Police in 82-78 win over Wennappuwa

BASKETBALL: Sri Lanka Police beat Wennappuwa BC by 82 points to 78 in a men's 'A' division match of the Colombo Super League Basketball Tournament played at Depot Police courts yesterday. At half-time police led 41-32.

Sujith Master (29), Gazall Razak (18) and Vajira Kumarasinghe (15) played a grand game for police while Malinda Fernando (21), Anton Niroshan (18) and Chalinda Fernando (10) excelled for Wennappuwa.

Colombo University beat Annites by 68 points to 44 after leading 31-23 in a men's 'C' division match played at the same venue.

M.R. Muthaliph (27) and M.A. Wijesiriwardena (15) stood out for the winners while Rusiru Ranatunge (11) and Anthony de Silva (9) excelled for Annites.
