'Lanka's leisure sector rich in investment potential'

INVESTMENT: Australian Ron Barassi who visited Sri Lanka is planning to invest in the Sri Lankan leisure sector.


MEeT:Ron Barassi together with Max Forster and Navein Perera with President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Ron who was in Colombo with his friend Max Forster, Sri Lanka born, now domiciled in Australia also had the opportunity of meeting with President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

During his meeting he had discussions on how best investment can be made in Sri Lanka on various projects including aviation, travel and tourism.

The meeting with the President gave him an insight on the possibilities of investment in Sri Lanka, which were outlined by President.

Ron Barassi, and his colleague were most impressed and encouraged after the talk with the President, which certainly opened the doors for Australian investment in Sri Lanka, Ron said. Ron was encouraged to visit Sri Lanka against all negative publicity by western media and he said that the country was safe for tourists and investors. Both Ron and Max are very keen to conduct some business in Sri Lanka.

The visit and the tour was arranged and organised by Executive Director Sparklink Holidays and Tours Navein Perera.
