Clarification

SEC: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka referring to the article titled "SECSL gets tough on market manipulators" which appeared in the Daily News of November 23, 2006, that it has been inaccurately stated in this article that the investigation referred to was carried out with the assistance of the Financial Intelligence Unit.

The Commission further says that this investigation was carried out solely by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka.
