Rambukwella honoured

COLOMBO: The International Open University has decided to confer a doctorate to Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, to felicitate the yeomen service rendered by him regarding Defence Affairs of Sri Lanka.

The University will confer this doctorate at the BMICH on Monday. Rambukwella who represents the Kandy district as a Member of Parliament joined the Government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa a few months ago.

He accepted the portfolio of Minister for Policy Development and Implementation.

Minister Rambukwella was appointed as the Defence Spokesman for National Security. Through the Media Centre for National Security, he has played a major role to counter the false propaganda carried out by the LTTE locally and internationally.
