Six Sri Lankans jailed in Singapore for credit card fraud
SINGAPORE: Six Sri Lankan men were handed jail terms of up to
11 years in Singapore for stealing money from automated cash machines
using cloned credit cards, court officials said Friday.
The six were sentenced Thursday in the Subordinate Court after they
were arrested in May with more than 350,000 Singapore dollars (225,806
US) of stolen money in their possession. They received jail terms
ranging from 5-1/2 to 10-1/2 year.
