Appointed Vice - President of ABWA

APPOINTMENT: Vice chairman of American Premium Water Systems (Pvt) Ltd (APWS) Anura Kumarasinghe, was elected as vice president of the Asia and Middle East Bottled Water Association (ABWA) at its executive committee meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand recently.

ABWA is the Asian Chapter of the International Bottled Water Association, with its head office in Djarkarta, Indonesia, based in the U.S.A.

Twenty-one members participated from various countries which included India, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Sri Lanka.

Kumarasinghe is the pioneer in the bottled water industry in Sri Lanka.

He began business in 1990, and is the Chairman of Premium Aqua Services (Pvt) Ltd in Chennai, South India, which company was established in recent years.

He is also the president of the Sri Lanka Bottled Water Association, and chairman of American Premium Holdings, American Waters, Amcap International and Cap Snap Lanka.
