ADDITION: Air Sahara, one of the leading domestic airlines in India,
has added two more destinations from Sri Lanka with effect from November
29. The two new daily frequencies are to New Delhi and to the Maldives.
Resident Manager, Air Sahara for Sri Lanka, J. Hydre said that the
rapid expansion of the Colombo Airport and the increasing tourist
arrivals from India to Sri Lanka has contributed to this. "We are also
happy with the construction a second airport in Sri Lanka at Weerawila
as this could increase our portfolio in Sri Lanka," he said.
The new daily frequency will originate from New Delhi and would fly
to Colombo and after a one-hour transit it would fly to the Maldives.
The return route would be Male, Colombo and New Delhi.
A new 737/800 aircraft to accommodate 162 economy and 12 first class
passengers would be used for this operation. |
