SLAF destroys Sea Tiger training camp

MULLAITIVU: Air Force Kfir jets yesterday engaged an identified LTTE Sea Tiger training camp in Puthukuduiruppu in Mullaitivu completely destroying the Sea Tiger base, Military Spokesman Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe told the Daily News yesterday.

"The aerial pictures taken after the bombing and ground intelligence confirmed that the fighter jets had precisely taken the target and the Tiger training base was completely destroyed," the Brigadier added.

The air raid was carried out yesterday at 9.30 a.m., Brigadier added.

Air Force fighter jets also engaged and destroyed Tiger bases in Kirinchi, an area North of Mannar yesterday on Monday morning.
