More Tamil teachers for Sabaragamuwa

SABARAGAMUWA: "Two hundred eighty five graduate teachers have
been appointed to schools in the Sabaragamuwa Province. Even though
there is a shortage of 490 Tamil teachers, only 55 will be recruited to
Tamil schools. The remaining vacancies will be filled soon said Reggie
Ranathunga, Governor, Sabaragamuwa Province.
"The PC would solve unemployment among youth soon. It is my desire to
employ more graduate teachers, and within three months of the completion
of training you all will get your permanency. This is due to the
efficiency of the President and the Government. You can pin hopes on the
present Government for a better future", the Governor said.
Minister Mohan Ellawela, Minister Y.G. Pathmasiri, the Chairman of
the PC, Vice Chairman and senior officials of the Education Ministry
participated in the ceremony. |
