CRICKET: Sri Lanka's opening bowler Lasith Malinga took a match bag
of eight wickets as NCC trounced Ragama CC outright by 123 runs in their
rain hit SLC Premier inter club league cricket tournament match
concluded at the FTZ ground, Katunayake yesterday.
Chasing a victory target of 315 runs, Ragama CC collapsed to 192 with
Lasith Malinga and Chanaka Komasaru sharing eight wickets between them.

Washed out
The SLC Premier inter club league cricket tournament matches between
CCC v Chilaw Marians SC at Braybrooke Place, Bloomfield v NCC at Reid
Avenue, Colts CC v Moors SC at Havelock Park and Tamil Union v
Baduraliya CC at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium ended in a no decision
after heavy overnight rain washed out the third and final days play
yesterday.
No play was possible in all these matches during the first two days
too due to a wet outfield.
