Merc. shuttle tourney from Nov. 21

BADMINTON: The Dulux inter firm badminton team championships conducted by the Mercantile Badminton Association and sponsored by CIC Paints Limited will be held from November 21 to 26 at S. Thomas' College indoor stadium, Mount Lavinia.

The tournament will be worked off in five divisions for men and four divisions for women with a total of 758 competitors from 51 member firms affiliated to the Mercantile Badminton Association vying for honours.

The men's championship will consist of three singles and two doubles and the women's tournament will consist of two singles and one doubles match. In addition the men's over 40 years event and the women's over 35 years event will comprise of two singles and one doubles match.
