Attacks on Muhamalai continue:
Citing the continuing LTTE attacks on the
Muhamalai entry point which delays the re-opening of the main supply
route to Jaffna, the Government yesterday accused the LTTE of
duplicity over the A9 issue.

million litres of petrol to Jaffna yesterday to address the demand
for fuel in the peninsula.

A-9 closure no hindrance to food transport
The closure of the A-9 road has not caused any
breakdown in the supply of essential food items to the Jaffna
peninsula since the Government has supplied essential food items to
Jaffna by sea since August 17, Essential Services Commissioner S.B.
