Madumanthi sets new Sri Lanka record

HIGH JUMP: Madumanthi Priyangika stole the limelight yesterday when she sets up a new Sri Lanka record for the High Jump clearing a height of 1.76 metres at the Women's Athletic Championships which came to an end at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

The record which stood at 1.75m was held by Sriyani Kulawansa and two others. - B.P.
