Six-a-side tournament

CRICKET: The Sri Lanka Softball Cricket Federation will conduct an all Island six-a-side cricket tournament end of October 2006. Winners and runners-up will receive valuable prizes and cash awards and also for the Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Best All Rounder etc.

Federation hopes to play all matches in district level and come to Colombo to play final round matches. Applications for this tournament had already been sent for the respective district organisers. Sri Lanka Softball Cricket Federation is also planning to form a national pool to enable to play national level games in the future. For this pool, Federation intend to pick up 15 cricketers from each district. Selections should be made from the past tournaments by the district organisers.
