Tourist Board launches tourism facilities in Bibile

INITIATION: Sri Lanka Tourist Board has opened comfort centres in Bibile providing more attractive facilities to local and foreign tourists.

The Board initiated the comfort centre concept in year 2001.

The objective was to provide facilities to domestic and foreign tourists.

At present comfort centres are in operation in Bentota, Aukana, Buduruwagala and Namal Uyana. There is a natural fresh water spring situated along Medagama-Bibile on the Monaragala Road about 01 Km from Bibile town.

This comfort centre will provide much needed facilities such as toilets, changing rooms, snack bar and parking facilities for the large number of local as well as foreign tourists who visit this natural resource.

The amount invested by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board for this project was Rs. 5.2 million.
