Reflections of Sri Lankan tourism towards ME

UPGRADED: Amaya Resorts and Spas celebrated its first anniversary after its re-branding in September 2005. The three resorts - Amaya Lake, Amaya Hills and Amaya Reef - have been upgraded in all aspects. With the celebration of its first anniversary Amaya Resorts and Spas will introduce its "Club Amaya", loyalty card shortly. Amaya Resorts and Spas will offer its clients a value for money concept with true reflection of Sri Lanka.

The management of Amaya Resorts and Spas said during the press conference held on October 18 that they will take up the challenge to promote the Sri Lankan hospitality industry not only in European countries but even in the Middle Eastern countries. They also gave an open invitation to all hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka to hold their hands together with this aspect to lead Sri Lankan tourism towards a better era.

Chairman Amaya Resorts and Spas Chandra Wickramasinghe said to develop and carry out the reflections of Sri Lanka will not be an easy task. "With the new standards, extensive staff, in a wide range of exploring the Amaya Resorts and Spas is once again ready to take a giant step offering the life-time experiences with a variety of facilities," he said.

These three luxury residences have been upgraded to reflect the culture and traditions of the areas they are located. Situated at the heart of the cultural triangle, Amaya Lake, Dambulla offers guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the picturesque view of the natural environment.

This resort, made up of 92 elegant villas, 11 eco lodges and 1 club lodge scattered along the shores of the Kandalama Lake makes a comfortable nestling place for its visitors. They would be able to go back into decades of history, of monuments and heritage among the scattered remains of past relics.

Amaya Hills also known as the "Palace in the Hills" is designed to mirror the heritage of Sri Lanka's last kingdom, Kandy. Nestled on a hill surrounded by lush greenery, this is a mark of grandeur, bringing to life the image of an ancient palace.

Amaya Hills is made up of 100 rooms, each with a balcony over-looking the forested hills of Heerassagala. It also includes 91 well-designed deluxe rooms, five junior suits and four deluxe suites.

Spread along the golden sands and facing the Indian ocean, Amaya Reef, Hikkaduwa is recommended as the ideal hide-out for honeymooners. The resort offers 54 well-furnished rooms and is located within the reach of the architectural sites of the South.

This resort offers its residents the experience of visits to the folk museums in Koggala, the water sports in Bentota, train tours and a visit to a moon stone mine.

Fingara third anniversary bash on a grand scale

CELEBRATION: Fingara Town and Country Club has made elaborate plans to celebrate its third anniversary on a grand scale.

It will be an evening of entertainment with live music featuring Sri Lanka's most popular guest performers, a fantastic International dinner buffet with a wide spread of Western, Eastern and spicy Sri Lankan cuisine presented by Executive Chef Jilan de Silva. Exciting prizes and surprises are also on the cards, Sales Manager, Food and Beverage, Adrian Gomez said.
