Explosives recovered

MUTTUR:A special police team in Kattaparichchan, Muttur recovered a powerful claymore mine weighing 3 Kg, GPMG rounds 90, one magazine with 30 rounds of ammunition and an LTTE flag at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.

Meanwhile, an air strike was carried out on an LTTE base at Puthukudiyiruppu, Mullaitivu, yesterday. The base was destroyed, Defence sources added.
