Tiger beaten by terrorist leaders defects, surrenders to Army
COLOMBO: A man who joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)
broke away from the group and has surrendered to the Army as he was
beaten by the terrorists, the Government said yesterday.
Arumugan Thanidan, 20, had joined the Tigers four months earlier and
had received weapons training, a spokesman at the Media Centre for
National Security said.
Thanidan surrendered to the Army on Tuesday in Trincomalee, saying he
had been beaten by the terrorist leaders, the spokesman said yesterday.
