was highly significant that a great leader like Anagarika Dharmapala who
worked tirelessly for the betterment of religion and culture was being
commemorated in a very fitting style, especially at a time when Sri
Lanka is threatened with a cry, by a brutish terrorist group, to break
Sri Lanka into pieces.

Pannananda Thera, Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayaka and many
other dignitaries were also present.
