Ceylinco, AIT launch DBA programme

DEGREE: The International College of Business and Technology Camps a
part of the Ceylinco Education Group together with Asian Institute of
Technology (AIT) of Thailand officially launched the Doctor of Business
Administration Programme in Sri Lanka.
The President of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Prof. Said
Irandoust, the Dean of School of Management AIT Prof. I.M. Pande, the
Deputy Chairman of Ceylinco Education Group Jagath Alwis and the
Director General Manager of International College of Business and
Technology (ICBT) Campus Mohan Pathirana, were present.
Prof. Said Irandoust said that the AIT is a leading university set up
in Thailand in 1987 and places significant emphasis on executive
education in the region. Students at AIT come from 40 different
countries and the faculty members come from over 30 countries.
He said that this is the first time AIT has launched Doctor of
Business Administration (DBA) programme outside Thailand and he was
delighted to be offering the DBA programme in Sri Lanka in association
with ICBT Campus and the Ceylinco Group.
Prof. Pande, the Dean of AIT's School of Management said that the
programme in Sri Lanka will be fully academically controlled by AIT and
the all lectures will be done by a visiting foreign faculty.
After the initial classes, the supervision of all students thesis
will also be done by foreign supervisors.
Prof. Pande also went on to say that anyone who has completed a
Master's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience could
read for the programme. |
