Security boost for Trincomalee
The defence authorities will draw up plans to
ensure the security of Trincomalee especially Trincomalee South, it
emerged yesterday.

Northern local polls in June 2007
ELECTIONS for Local bodies in the North and
Batticaloa district which did not have Local Government Elections
this year, will be held on June 30, 2007. The new election date, has
been fixed by Returning Officers of the respective administrative
districts, said Elections Commissioner's Department sources.
